Founding Board of Trustees

ACP is no small undertaking. The following people have come together as the founding Board of Trustees in either an acting or advisory capacity.

The ACP board is a "working" board. Each person brings a unique talent or skill, and together we are building something new and exciting for Austin.

Therefore, the board is dynamic and additional members will be added as time goes on. If you'd like to be considered for the board, contact us. We are looking for individuals who share our vision and who can share their time and know-how to help make ACP happen.


DAVID LYKES KEENAN – President of ACP, Dave has embarked on a second career as a photographer after thirty years as a computer programmer, entrepreneur and small business owner. Dave’s photography has been exhibited and published both nationally and internationally and displayed in many Austin locations. Dave's web site.

SARAH SUDHOFF – An artist, educator and freelance photographer, Sarah was selected for the Critical Mass Top 50 Photographers Award and the New Art in Austin: 20 to Watch by the Austin Museum of Art. Her large-scale photographs have been exhibited nationally and featured in publications such as The New York Times Magazine and Texas Monthly; she currently teaches photography at UTSA. ROY FLUKINGER – As the Senior Research Curator of the Photography Department at the Harry Ransom Center, The University of Texas at Austin, Roy Flukinger’s name is synonymous with photography in Austin. Roy has curated over 80 exhibitions; written and lectured extensively on photography and its history; was the first Chair of the Board of the Texas Photographic Society; and is currently teaching at UT and at work on a number of lectures and articles.

NAN STANDISH BLAKE – Nan’s interest in photography started when she was eleven, was nurtured by her teachers Russell Lee and Garry Winogrand, and culminated in receiving the first MFA in Photography granted at The University of Texas at Austin. After 35 years teaching photography and design at UT and Texas A&M University and exhibiting her photographs world-wide, she has returned to Austin to continue her career.

JERRY SULLIVAN – Jerry is the founder of Precision Camera and Video established in Austin in 1976, and he also managed the Austin Photographic Gallery which exhibited many famous and promising photographers. The son of a photographer turned businessman, Jerry continued his interest in travel and photography with degrees from The University of Texas at Austin and Austin Community College.

VICTORIA CORCORAN – Springboarding her career as a contemporary art dealer and collector, Victoria began a degree in the History of Art from Southern Methodist University. Her work in Dallas included an association with the Eugene Binder Gallery and Director of McKinney Avenue Contemporary Galleries; now she directs Corcoran & Co., a fund raising consulting firm based in Austin. JOHN LANGMORE – John comes to photography naturally – his father Bank a groundbreaking photographer of the American West and his mother opening the Langmore Photographic Studio in San Antonio, now run by his brother and sister. While working as a business executive and lawyer, John is involved on a number of photographic projects including a long-term documentation of the changing neighborhoods east of I-35 in Austin. DONNA DE CESARE – Recipient of numerous major awards and fellowships, documentary photographer Donna is widely known for her groundbreaking work on the spread of Los Angeles gangs in Central America. In addition to teaching in the School of Journalism at the UT Austin, Donna lectures at conferences, conducts workshops, judges international contests and continues to work on projects for publication and for national and international exhibitions. LANCE ROSENFIELD – Lance is a freelance commercial and editorial photographer and storyteller who shoots assignments as well as personal projects. Lance's work has appeared in the New York Times, Seattle Times, Digital Journalist, and various galleries. Lance came to us after his very successful management of Slideluck Potshow Austin. ELIZABETH CHILES – An artist, educator, and former gallerist, Elizabeth has exhibited her work at Spartan and Okay Mountain in Austin and at City Hall, Mission 17 Gallery, and the Luggage Store in San Francisco, among other venues. As a former gallerist and curator Elizabeth has worked with Barbara Krakow, Lora Reynolds and Fraenkel Galleries and is currently on the faculty at Texas State University. Elizabeth's web site.

To assist the Board in decision making regarding the growth and direction of ACP, members of the Advisory Board volunteer their time and know-how, and share a common excitement for what ACP can, and will, bring to Austin.
