Home Page Photo Contest No.5

Theme: "Scenes From A City"

"I think ... distinctions and lists of titles like 'street photographer' are so stupid. I'm a photographer, a still photographer. That's it." - Garry Winogrand

Winners Announced!

When asked how he felt about missing photographs while he reloaded his camera with film, Winogrand replied, "There are no photographs while I'm reloading."

With those pearls of wisdom from one of the most important photographers of the 20th century, we're pleased to announce the results of Home Page Contest No.5 which had the theme "Scenes From A City".

Note the theme states "a city". Your submissions need not be taken in Austin or any other specific city. In fact, the word "city" itself is left up to your artistic interpretation. Your pictures may be in color or black & white, and need not necessarily be of the traditional "street photography" genre. Your creativity and vision in interpreting this theme is what will lead to a winning entry.

Over 480 photographs were submitted by 95 photographers for Home Page Photo Contest No.5.
